If the tube pumped up properly, I would probably good with 50 psi. Something was wrong with the tube taking air. It certainly didn't have 165 psi, as the other poster noted, because it would have...

I have two sets of wheels on an old Hard Rock mountain bike. Since I have two different cassettes, should I have two different chains?

re: presta tubes

What is the deal with presta tubes in mountain bike tires? I have used at least three pairs and I've had problems with leaks. They are Kenda tubes, too. The last one doesn't inflate properly. It...

Hi Jim,

I agree, Specialized is a good company. It wasn't a good idea to buy a used one though. The warranty is only good for the purchaser so you can't lose buying new. Just got new Hard Rock...

re: road versus mtb components on hybrid

Does a hybrid with road components have speed advantage over a hybrid with mountain bike components? Would it be at top end speeds only? Or even in speeds with low gears? I just want to use mine...

Just bought new Hard Rock Frame. LBS pretty fair about. I learned my lesson to not get a used old mtb bike. Adding parts is not a smart idea, even if purchased at prices online. Better to get new...
