I look forward to the day when i ride enough to burn thru rims.
I swap stuff to try different rim/hub combinations well before i can literally wear thru rims.

Canti brakes, when set up properly, will stop you...

Canti brakes, when set up properly, will stop you just fine each and every time.
I weigh 230 which alone is more than you plus your gear and canti brake bikes stop me just fine coming down hills...
