Series shockers would be when one of the messengers gets hit by a car or truck. Not that I want a fellow cyclist to get bodily harm but it's quite obvious... think Discovery's Deadliest Catch when they featured a ship sinking when it did and the rescue, and the reactions of the fishermen.
Interesting concept nonetheless.

According to the internet, a "triple rush" is when a package needs to be delivered in under 20 minutes. That's pretty cool, actually.

Triple Rush gives you an insider's look at the chaotic workings of 3 different NYC courier companies as they battle for survival in this intensely competitive industry. We'll witness the bike messengers' hair-raising dashes through busy Manhattan streets -- speeding between cars, racing through red lights and doing battle with taxicabs -- all to earn a few dollars and support their lives in the fast lane. We'll also meet the dispatchers, who balance the needs of messengers who want non-stop, lucrative runs, customers who want excellent service and owners who want kick-ass couriers who don't make mistakes.

Its fairly easy to dismiss your post as being overly cynical, but after talking to the host/star of that show "Hoarders" a few months back, he pretty much said the exact same thing as you.

why else would 'reality' tv have exploded over the last decade... it's super cheap and people(idiots) watch it.
i have respect for bike messengers like i have respect for garbage wo/men. it's a ****ty job that's really hard and dangerous... but where the garbage wo/men get silly high pay and benefits and good hours, messengers get to be 'cool' and ride their bikes. forget pay or benefits, but you know what i mean.
i'm not about to watch a show about it, no matter how cool the camera angles and how involving the 'reality' of it is.
yes, this preview was on in the bar my night ride peeps stopped into on monday...

Man v Food has got to be one of the greatest shows ever. Theres no drama created in the editing room on that one.

The Weather Channel is more interesting to watch than any reality based tv show.

I work part-time for one of the companies featured in this show ... one of my coworkers told me that the camera crew had him in the elevator at our office, pretending to be stuck in a broken down elevator. I guess they were trying to showcase some of the "hardships" messengers face, and had to fabricate a couple of things. Pretty lame. I used to work this job full-time for a couple of years, and never got stuck in an elevator...thought it was kinda funny. The clips I have seen look pretty cool, I will definitely watch it.

i hate man v food. guy only wins like 40% of the time. he just flies his fattening ass all over the country, eats a bunch of food, then does some food challenge. he looses, is just like "OH WELL GUESS FOOD WON LOL" and gets paid.
