Finished: '83 Raleigh Condor w/ 105 Golden Arrow
So after waiting a while for some hoods, bartape, and a cone for my rear wheel this project is now done. Completely stripped it, sprayed inside with rustcheck, cleaned and greased up all the bearings and components. Only replaced the BB with a cartridge, chain, and hoods.
Could still use a new saddle, and the paint has a couple of bad spots, but nothing serious. I've ridden it today back and forth to Dalhousie University for a work visit, and man, it is a fast and rigid bike. That 53t ring really makes a difference. The rims and spokes still need to be cleaned up a bit, and the wheels need to be trued (spoke tension is pretty loose).
me in "cycling clothes" on my way to pick up some olive oil after work
Salsa Bartape
Brought it in to a local shop to show off, and one of the owners fell in love with it. I think if I ever sell it he'll have to get first dibs.
What do you guys think?

Good work!
Are you planning on putting toe clips on those pedals? The bottoms of the pedals will get uncomfortable if you don't.

It seems that every bike I come across has this and this .
Anyway, that bike rocks, and I'm also a fan of Golden Arrow. Is that a GA headset?

Yes I also like the dork disks when they are nice and shiny like that.
yeah I contemplated removing the pump mount, but I'm contemplating getting an old school frame pump to put on the bike. So I just left it on there for now. At least I know where it is
What is GA? I believe the headset is Tange.

Great looking bike, the Max. I like the Golden Arrow group a lot. Really great work on the brake cable routing. You might try tilting the bar back towards the rider just slightly.
If you want to email me, I have some large toe clips, but the only straps I have are brown.
