Bolt together $15 CETMA Style Front Rack

What you made is awesome. Weight weenies will cringe but that rack will hold some serious cargo! Nice rack and nice job documenting the process.

I would make a nasty comment about weight weenies...but I am trying to play nice...time to take my fully loaded Raleigh Superbe down to the LBS again and let them put it on the scale in front of all the roadies I passed on the way in

Bikes: '76 Peugeot Mixte UE-18, Bridgestone 'Submariner' picklefork mixte, Bridgestone KABUKI picklefork mixte, TREK MT220

What color did you paint it? I really like homemade, especially when it works better than store bought. I did see aluminum tube and flat bar right along side the steel at Home Depot. Lighter and more expensive, but looks strong enough. Glad I'm not the only one 'fabricating' custom gear. Seems like we cargo/utility folks sorta have to so we get something that works.
