Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

are you riding with your ams stretched straight, with your elbows locked?

Bikes: A whole bunch-a bikes.

perhaps a shorter stem length. That solved the locking elbow thing for me...

well, just make sure you keep those elbows bent.

Anyway, perhaps you can post a pic of you riding (preferably taken from the side). At least you can see how you position yourself while on the bike.

And feel free to show some skin for the ladies here

Make sure your stem is the right length/height and that your seat isn't too far back. I get this image that you're sitting with your butt all the way back, body almost level with the ground and arms straining to reach the hoods. Your arm should be able to bend at the elbow and relax.
Try riding in different positions, in the drops, on the flats and on the hoods. You get a more upright relaxed position on the flats.
