Fargo Street, CA??
Hey SoCal guys!!
I was just browsing some random club sites and noticed a hill that is pretty cool to try
I was wondering on where this street was so I can try it this weekend. I want to see how I like the 46 bars and from what the LBS said, "They should help with breathing up climbs". Can anyone please tell me the address or how to get to this street in CA?

The hill section is between Glendale and Alvarado. Baxter St. is also just as steep, but a tad bit longer and with more traffic.

It's right at the beginning of the Glendale Fwy (the 2) just to the East of it and South of the 5 Fwy. At the bottom of the street the 2 Fwy is right behind you.

I think that the steep part is on the other side of the 2 between Allesandro St. and N. Alvarado St., but I could be wrong as you live right there and I don't.

On DeLormo Topo it shows it goes from about 520 feet to 656 feet in about 700 feet. That's 136 feet of elevation in 700 feet, do the math, please.

I haven't tried anything too crazy yet, This might be the steepest thing I ever rode up. I saw another hill near Griffith that hikes up to some kind of driveway but it was only 100ft or so, i had a hard time keeping the front tire from coming off the ground.
Is this hill the destroyer?? Is it possible to go up and down a few times without blowing up?
We shall see
I saw pictures of it on a club site and it looked pretty steep for such a length

Read the article on their web site, it goes into detail about how many times people can ride up it in a certain amount of time and other trivia. Many commented on how it was hard to keep the front wheel down. Looking forward to your report.

I will probably pack the bike in my car too...it looks like its 30 miles from my house(freeways) so I doubt I'll ride there(probably be dead before I even start)
Yes lets do a duo report, I'll just have to bring some extra $$$ to pay Fixer to do the report "correctly"

OK.....I have less than an hour on Sat between my So Pasadena group morning ride and my afternoon commitments to observe, monitor, and take photographic evidence of your attempt.

Im going tommorow for sure...I sent you a PM.
I have to conquer this hill because I know another one pretty close to me that I think is worse...Im working up in steps before I try it
It might be close tot he same % but I dont know, I only drove up there and I had to rev pretty high in 1st to go up.
