Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Too true, but a very distinguished former mentor of mine is a dignified 79 and has an active account.

Mrs. GeneJockey tends to turn on the TV whenever she's in the living/dining room area, especially when she wakes up first. She tends to put MSNBC on in the AM, and while I agree with their politics, sometimes it's early to have the first three hours of our current political life hit me while I'm having my first cup of coffee. I prefer to dip my toes into the news and slowly acclimate every morning, rather than jumping in.

Also, I used to argue politics for fun on a bowhunting/archery forum, but it got to be less and less fun.

My brother is a troll on MAGA and conspiracy fora. Very unhealthy and destructive to his sanity and the polity’s, IMO. LSS is actually to the left of me on some issues, but much less emotionally affected and, unlike certain less decent people, does not find rage rewarding. She long ago raised a prohibition against ranting.

I might give it a shot later, I have a three inch thick slab of ice/sleet/freezing rain under the 4 inches of snow I cleared that I need to work on getting up today.

at least it’s will be sunny

I signed up for an anti-social social meetup on Zwift. How bad could it be?

It's been booze o'clock 24 x 7.

Three squares plus appetizers at 4:00 everyday as well.

We didn’t get any snow, just sleet. It’s a skating rink out there, scraping, salting and sanding will rule the day.
