is it safe to say that if you are at all worried about people calling you a hipster, than in fact, that's exactly what you are?
just ride your bike, develop carpal tunnel / arthritis / ED... whatever splendid malady that geometry will provide to you, free of charge, and move on.
i skimmed through the blog, enough to read that he was planning a trip to SF for critical mass??
ps, get a haircut hippy.

I am not much on mocking the person. His bike looks poorly set up, but I don't know that I want to extend that to a personal condemnation.

The shop did ok except for the lack of tape/grips; destrapification (and to be fair, brakeage), bar angle manglefication, and taint S&M were user-specified parameters. I was kind of hoping the guy would be like 6-3 and shaped like dolface's avatar, but it looks like the bike actually kind of fits him.
edit: looking again after I saw retem's post, there are only clips, no straps. WTF?
I think I'd like that frame in a larger size ('cept for the turdwelds), but big tubing looks totally strange for a frame that small.

I actually think this bike looks quite nice set up properly. I'm a big fan of Salsa stuff though.

Reading through his blog he seems genuinely passionate about this bike stuff. It's just a damn shame he doesn't know anything about bikes. Ergonomics before aesthetics.
That and maybe a pinch of midlife crisis.
