A better question is how long it will be before it gets stolen, since there's no way to lock it up. I doubt reliability would be any different than other carbon components, such as a fork.

I couldn't imagine riding daily with a carbon disc on there. Seems like the wind would just kick your butt and make the bike very unstable. And the potential for theft. Those two things alone would deter me, but the thought of attempting it intrigues me.

The wind will not affect a rear disc very much. In fact, your riding position will have a far greater impact on bike handling in sidewinds. OTOH, even a mildly deep rim in the front will have a significant impact in windy conditions.

Holy crap only just seen how many people have replied to this thread! Your comments just put a massive grin on my face the carbon wheel is a flip flop with a lock ring, I bought this wheel (for a good price) because I wanted to build something unique and thought putting a carbon wheel on a ****ty 40 year old frame would be funny, I also have a aerospoke on the front if that annoys people more? And maybe riding this on the road is silly etc and I'm gunna crash but you only have one life so **** it!

I really don't get why folks are stirred up about this. I mean, the guy wants to use a disk on the road. It's not exactly a novel idea. Assuming he figures out how to glue on a tire it will work fine. Compared to some of the truly idiotic ideas that show up on this subforum, putting a disk wheel on a fixed gear road bike seems completely unremarkable to me.

Im a qualified panel beater and welder, I'm mechanically minded and do not work on things half heartedly, I've researched how to install this tyre correctly. So don't presume things just because I didn't post a serious answer, lighten up.
