Through trial and error 165 seems to work very well for her. Most of her riding has been leisure long distance and touring. We used to ride in a lot of mountains so she developed strong legs and a preference for slower cadence and harder pushing rather than high cadence, the 165mm would dial-in the geometry perfectly on her 49cm road frame. She has a 165mm on the touring frame that she likes, currently 170mm on the road frame that she doesn't.
