Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

These Enve frames look awesome.
I can't imagine buying a bike like this to race crits, but I've seen some crazy stuff at bike races so I'm sure it happens.

It's a bit like buying a Ferrari to go race Autocross with. Yes, it'll be awesome for that use, but also you'll probably get smoked by someone in a Subaru.

You could probably 2 of one of the above and have 4 really nice bikes if you shop around (next year). I mean, my R3 with electronic shifting was under $3,000.

I was thinking of a BMC Roadmachine with 105 or Ultegra, a Cannondale Topstone Carbon gravel bike and an Ibis Ripmo mtb. I chose those bikes partly because of their geometry.
The Ripmo would be the most expensive of the 3.
