Is this the newer model? looks better than the old one, (above).
I am looking for pedals for my old bike. I sometimes park it in the woods and go hiking for a week.
The Saints sound good. Would they still be there when I returned to my bike?

I think this a different model from the one above. Wellgo makes quite a variety of pedals. Wellgo

Yes, flat across, No dips or high points. I can take a pix with a straightedge across it, but looks flat. If the axle is raised, its by 1/16 of an inch. So I call it flat. Rode with Keen sandles, running shoes, and flip-flops, no issues and nice big surface area.

Ergon Pedals are not exactly flat but they are comfortable because of that shape .

Dumb move!... You asked for comfortable with running shoes. Not flat-soled shoes. I do a minimum of 12 mi/day up to 35 mi. at least once a week. I weigh 255 lbs and have no problems with my feet.

Your mileage of course may vary...

I certainly wouldn't go with flat pedals anymore unless I was building up a multi use hybrid that I would let others use but in that case I would probably go with MKS Lambdas/Grip Kings. They always get good reviews and have a nice comfortable platform and I personally know some folks who rock them and have rocked them for a while and love them.

If I wanted to fit a toe cage I would probably go with the White Industries Urban Platform pedals and most like Bruce Gordon toe clips which can be bought together at a discount from Bruce himself. If I hated 'Merica I would go with MKS Urban Platforms and their stainless or copper half clip but I like to support 'Merican companies doing quality work. Both have gotten good reviews as well and both are high quality which is important since they are a contact point and you want that to be top notch for comfort.
