In other news, whyfi showed chauffeured me around Minnie, and I have to say I am super impressed. Fish tacos were better than anything back home, and the bike shop actually had taste. If it wasn’t for the lack of humidity I would consider moving here.

The bike shop had an Allied Echo in my size! I actually got to touch it. If I wasn’t in my uniform I would have asked to ride it, not that the uniform really stopped me. More of the fact I would prolly crash, and I am sure they have a break if you buy it policy.
And don’t even make me bring up the Moots.

Just finished my first ride on my Chou Yang Speed Shark tires. I'm not sure if they were as speedy as my GP4000's with latex tubes, but they were fine. Very smooth. Details: total bike and rider with equipment, about 240 lbs. 28's on narrow rims, 85/81 psi. Kevlar bead/ Kevlar belt. $34 for two on Amazon. They were fast enough to win a sprint (barely) against an angry farm dog.

Hey, I just posted this in the mechanics forum. Anyone here have ideas?
I have standard, modern, Shimano "cups" threaded into a titanium shell on my commuting bike. All parts are relatively new. Since installation, the BB has gotten creaky every few months and responded to torquing back to spec, but no longer. I tried a heavy application of blue thread locker and then about three wraps of PTFE tape (cups still screwed in easily) when that didn't work. The tape helped, but didn't fix it.
What should I try now, more tape? Is there anything else?

If you want an assembly prep, you might want more of a gap filler than a thread locker. I used (I think) 709 on my 09 Tarmac b.b. bearings in 2017 and they are still there, never make noises. It's a bb30 and I could pull the bearings out of with my fingers.

. Make sure it's not a bearing moving around in the threaded shell. It's not uncommon for them to need service. I used to disassemble, clean, regrease,, and reassemble 3 times a year when I had Shimano.

Accidentally squeezed the pool acid jug after opening it and caught a pretty good whiff. Might be time to get a pool guy

My grandparents lived in Manlius, IL for many years. My dad went to Manlius HS. There was not a windmill present at the time.
