No joke. You don't run into this problem if you're not ********. Why would you run separate races on the same crit course?

It's against the rules to take assistance from anyone not in your race in a road race, including riders in another class. He would have a really, really hard time NOT taking assistance from a P12 field in a crit though. Kinda hard to get through them without taking assistance by accident.

In fact, the rule quoted below isn't even found in the crit section of the rules, because it just shouldn't come up. However, there's also nothing I can find that forbids running two races on the same crit course at the same time. Not sure if they should relegate him, since I can't even tell if it's legal to run two crits on the same course.

3B5. Taking pace or assistance from any outside means is
forbidden, including holding on to a motor vehicle or taking
pace from riders in a different race that is concurrently on the
same course [relegation or disqualification].

Was this with full fields ?
I've only seen it done a few times with tiny fields to save time.

haven't seen the results so I'm not sure of field size. The first race I think went off all together. My teammate finished 9th overall, 4th in the field sprint and 1st in the IIIs. The promoter hasn't exactly attracted large fields with his fee to payout ratio. He's a 100% for profit promoter.

I haven't done one of that guys races in awhile because he proved to be a jerk at one of the Perry Roubaix races a few years back. Every now and then I look at his schedule and think "wow, that looks fun, maybe I should re-think my boycott on his races", and I would have gone up for the ToA if I hadn't come down with strep.

But then I hear stories like this...

BTW, Gene (the guy who runs Twilight / Albany and a few others) runs a nice set of races and his people are always incredibly friendly / helpful.

FWIW, I hear that there was some pretty horrific scoring issues in some of the Naples cat3/4 races yesterday.

Not bad subby, not bad at all.

Why didn't any of you tell me not to try to go sailing today? I couldn't even find a place to park that had enough space to rig my boat, not to mention the lake was packed with stupid power boats.

I took the family sailing today. Light winds were good for the kids, but patience only lasted an hour or so. We're thinking of joining the masses and getting a pontoon boat.

76 miles on what was supposed to be a mellow ride, but I know that when the group I ride with says "mellow ride" we can expect a lot of hammering. Had a great time being out then came home and had food from my favorite Italian restaurant with my wife, daughter, mother and sister.

Messed up my back. Trying to move my boat trailer I picked it up awkwardly and tweaked my lower back. The Girl is taking care of me.

Yesterday on the short club ride a guy showed up in a new Katusha kit and at a rest stop the Russian girl, (remember her from last week?), was translating his jersey.
She said Katusha means "Katy" and is a sweet thing to call someone. She then sang a Russian song about Katusha and it was quite charming, actually.

So, knee pain is starting to become a limiter. Suggestions? Anterior below the knee cap. Saddle height tweak to start? I have hardcore anti inflammatory meds for my elbow which can deal with the pain, but I'd prefer to address the fit issue if it exists.

What is different since before the pain ? New bike ? shoes ? cleats ? saddle ? off bike issues ?
Do you have other bikes to compare your fit to ?
Years ago I self-diagnosed that I needed a shim (supinate ?) in my right shoe. I made a home made one by shimming underneath the left side of the insole.
Current shoes are better though.
