I have a bizarre request. I have a set of Cannondale cantilever brakes (from kansascity ) that were missing a set of mounting bolts (one set was included). I'm trying to install on my T600 and I don't have the right bolts on hand (I don't care if they're not 'original'). The boss mounting point on the brakes is countersunk ( the front is already installed with the supplied bolts ). I have some bolts on hand that are too long, but they also aren't tapered for a countersunk hole like the fronts have. Anyone who can help me? I'm happy to pay and pay shipping, I'm also happy to trade, I've got lots of parts on hand.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I'm pretty sure those are Tektro 992AG Oryx brakes. I don't know where you could buy just the bolts, but perhaps that info might help you track them down. It looks like at least some versions of the Tektros had countersunk mounting bolts like yours.

I guess "quality" would be a better word. My main criteria is that they have good stopping power. A full front+rear set would be great, but I'm willing to work with a partial set and/or to source missing small parts. Modern productions and good brake pads would be a plus, and nice condition/aesthetics never hurt anyone. I don't really care about the brand, as long as the brakes are good quality.
That said the basic Shimanos I have are fine until I find the right replacements. Thanks for the inquiry.

They take conventional "shaft" pads and these have CODA brand pads (which I would replace since probably all dried out) and only one of 4 mounting bolts but no straddle cables but those parts appear to be nothing special or hard to find.
Very good condition I just never came across the bike that needed to have these, yet.

Ok, scratch that. Between help from mountaindave and buying three Campy rear derailleurs on ebay , I should be set.

ISO a 25.0mm seat post. Yes, "point naught".. Nothing show quality needed, this is going on a rider, an '88 Centurion Carbon I'm doing a quasi-parts-bin build on. Doesn't need to be long, enough for a "fistful".
I have a little bit of everything, not much that's really nice. Just lemme know what you need, including digital dead Presidents.

I have this to offer. Bought on eBay several years ago. Test fitted on a couple of frames but never used.
The instructions that were included are for TRP Euro-Cantilever brakes. Two differences from the instructions.
1. There is no name on them.
2. The pad fixing bolt does not have the illustrated 4mm hex head.
Tightened fine with the nut on the rear when I set them up using the pad to prevent rotation. Fake? B stock? Who knows? They are light!
email me if you have any interest
Thanks

I think I found that post, someone with a couple 25.0s looking to shim them to 27.2, so a trade would be a natural. Alas, almost 3 years old, so probably a cold trail. And yeah I've seen some Kalloy and similar posts; they're way longer than I need and a little MTB-ish looking, but that'll be my fall-back, or at least will allow me to move on with the build.

Thanks for looking unworthy1. I’d be interested in those, but I think they’re missing too many parts for me to commit to. I’m now in need of other parts for this build too, so it looks like I’m just going to have to be patient.

So (again AFAIK) the main things missing are 4 better condition brakepads with the common shafts most cantis use, but so far I'm surprised that I don't have wads of those kicking around: so far I only came across used pads in no better shape than what's on them now.
That said...PM me if you want pix, maybe in a few days so I can see if I get lucky with sourcing those few bits.

I have full 16 pages in my eBay watch list. I stopped opening the blasted thing. Thankfully, I have two nice bicycles to ride and the weather is finally acceptable out there, so I'm trying to do more riding, less wrenching to make use of that. But I know the addicition will come back when it gets colder and rainier.

In all fairness, some of the items are in the watchlist as a reminder they exist. Some are for the pricing information. Some are waiting for a moment when I can find some use for them. But I need to sort out the stash I have around first, lest I turn into a hoarder

Have you checked Boulder Bicycle?
They do a lot of vintage stuff.
Ill be you have a bicycle recycling coop in your area.
Might be another source to try.
Not much new in 27" stuff. Entry level tires(and maybe others).
good luck,

ISO a 28-hole silver velocity Aerohead rim - my front wheel lost a fight with a car, rim's dead but everything else survived so I am hoping to just swap it out (and build my first wheel in the process!)
Located in MN - I can get one from Velocity direct (they have 2 knocking around in the warehouse) for $80+shipping, just figured I'd see if someone here has one they'd let go of for less than that!

One of my Chorus brake levers is missing its little insert that acts as the cable's fulcrum bridge to the hole for aero routing.
It fits in the lever slot here:
Pics taken from @msl109's thread here.
Wonder if @P!N20, @miamijim, or @Bianchigirll have any advice.

Want Trade or buy 80-90 mm long Technomic stem. Will trade for 110 mm long Technomic stem that will probably polish beautifully. My stem doesn't have the handlebar binder bolt, so the trade I propose is without that bolt. Photos in my album called 'Technomic', since I don't want to clutter this thread with 5.4 MB of photos.
ETA: my stem has 25.4 clamp, and ideally the trade will be my 110/25.4 for your 90/5.4, though I might be willing to use a shim.
