Some images from Nationals. Taken by my Uncle. He tries. His point and shoot didn't get any good action shots. Which is good for me.

I keep hearing good things about what you guys are doing in Cleveland. Keep up the good work and enjoy the fruits of your labor!
At 50 degrees it feels verticle.![Big Grin](https://www.bikeforums.net/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
After nailing down 2" x 6" deck boards all day this past Monday, I did a workout that had me ride 1 hr @ Z3 with a 200m sprint every 3 minutes. I would ride up above the stayers line then dive bomb down and out of the turn when starting the Z7 intervals. What a rush! Can't wait for the facility to open next week.

ended up taking 2nd in the sprint rep
which put me in the most lopsided match sprint I've ever been in. an interesting experience to say the least!

Carleton, there are a few shots of you in this set. If you haven't seen them, lmk. I can try and link you to them.

Photo taken today at my clubs saturday afternoon track meet. It runs every week from November through to end of March with grades from A to F. Photo is of D grade racing.

Second week back on the track for me after an OS holiday without the bike. Word got out that the OCBC Singapore Pro (Continental) Cycling Team would be coming to race today brought out all the clubs good racers (state and national level) which made for some hard racing!

Nice maidenfan. ![Smilie](https://www.bikeforums.net/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Our winters are mild, so we can ride and train year round outdoors. But being in the Southern hemisphere, today is the first day of summer. And having already had a day last week with a max temp of 39 degrees celcius, I'd say it is going to be a hot one!

Raced my club championships IP and scratch race Saturday. Was a good hitout for next weekends State Masters track championships.
On Sunday, I drove down to Gippsland to race teh Latrobe CC Track Carnival. Didn't end up placing unfortunately. Finishing in all the races other than the wheel race somewhere 4-6th place. In the Wheel race as an out of towner I was given a handicap of 30 metres - impossible for me to make up 400+m in a 4 lap screamer!
Made the final of the Keirin. Had good position in the final sitting third wheel, moved up onto the second wheels hip when the motorbike pulled off at one lap to go (track was just over 500m long) - and the idiot on the front swings up the track without looking and forced me up to the fence with him! Game over and very angry rolled over behind the rest. Asked him what the hell he was thinking and got back this track is that long it's like five laps to go... Moron nearly took out my front wheel and any chance of a good result!
A couple of photos from the day
Ready to race

The wheelrace is always a fast and furious race. I'm glad that you stayed upright during the Keirin! I agree that that was an idiotic move by the guy that took you to the fence. Did he ever give you an answer?
This is a helluva pain face!

I did roll up to him after and ask him in some undiplomatic English for an explanation. As I was always taught never swing up on a bell lap, even if that lap is long (this country track runs around the outside of an athletics track). After he hooked me, he then swung hard bad down and tried to barge into around third wheel causing some agro there too... His retort was that one lap to go is like 5 laps at other tracks and there was plenty of room anyway! Spoke to the race commissaire to have a word with him after the race - not sure if they did.

Rode okay - pretty poor turn out unfortunately.
IP - didn't have my mojo on what was a very hot day and rode 7 seconds slower than my PB for the 3km. Still just made the gold medal ride but was even a second slower and was 6 seconds slower than first. By the way only 3 MMAS3 entered.![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://www.bikeforums.net/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
Hadn't entered the sprint but was on the start list. Mentioned this to the commissaires but they said if you are on the start list you can ride... So decided I might as well. Grouped MMAS3-4 for the race. I was 6th fastest with a 12.4. Our race was then a derby with 4th-6th with the other 2 riding sub 12 flying 200's! So went from the push, but being the enduro they knew it was coming so didn't get the gap I needed.
Ride off for 5-10th - another enduro tried the same and was able to get around him only to be caught on the line by the other rider eliminated in my previous derby. So 6th overall.
Scratch was a brilliant race, though once again due to the lack of entries it was MMAS1-4 with only one set of medals on offer. The small field included four previous State Masters winners myself included. Most fun scratch race I've been in for quite some time! Attacks the whole time - I made a break around 12 laps to go after marking one rider who had tried his luck solo a few times already. Given he had support this time they didn't let us get too far off the front and pegged us back around 8 to go. Another rider counter attacked and was allowed to hang out the front till around 2 to go. Felt strong on the final sprint, but left my run too late and finished in 5th - highest placed MMAS3 but no medal this year...
