Anyone heard of Man Is The Bastard?
I saw them play live in a punk-trailer in Mississippi in the 90's.
If you know the band, then you know why that's awesome.

I like Black Lips but those last two albums got pretty overplayed by some people I know so I don't have much desire to hear them atm.
I bought In The Aeroplane Over the Sea becuase of so much critical hype but I didn't find it that remarkable and finally sold it at a record show last year. I heard some Elephant 6 bands are going to be touring this year... Don't know if NMH is part of the tour though.

Yeah, bummer really...
Anyway.
Currently feeling a mix of sleigh bells, crystal palace, ladytron, and associated electronica-noise pop-ish stuff.

never heard of 'black lips'...for the most part Im still listening to punk from the 70's-80's. Only a fewer new bands. But real punk for the most part- is dead. imo.
(with the exception of those older bands that are still playing shows)

I've been checking out Band of Horses lately: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnMZQmNtPKE
Total chick music, but i've always been a sucker for simple pretty-sounding melodies.

I definitely know why this is awesome. And that punk-trailer was the same one that used to challenge all the touring bands to a pancake eating contest after the show, right? Man, some of those shows sound almost as cool as Born Against playing at Kinkos..

Man is the Bastard was kickass! I was lucky enough to see them twice in the 90s. Neither time in a punk trailer, though.

I feel like that was on a cartoon network short for dexter's lab.
Love it! It reminds me of a mix between rjd2 and dj shadow. Awesome.
Yeah, I have a youtube dubstep playlist. here let me link it.

Haha didn't expect anyone to like it. You like dubstep?
Try this on for size. Just a little mix, a bit mainstream though.
