Send the chocolates to me, I will eat them all and send the boxes back to you. You can then squish the boxes down and they will fit in their mailslots. And to think i didn't even write a thesis...

In all seriousness the boys I coach got me two gift certificates - restaurants, imagine that. It is the thought that counts. Personally I would hand deliver to all three intimidated or not, you would be surprised by the response you get from the third guy i bet.

Easiest, and very acceptable, thing to do is not give them anything.

If you don't know and like them enough to feel comfortable giving them the present in person is it really a "gift"?

Friday is my dad's birthday. He passed away 13 years ago. Not a day goes by where I don't think of my parents. Aging and the loss of those ties are difficult so go easy.

I'm supposed to ride by 8:00am. It's only 16 out right now, but weather is calling for blue skies.

The waiting is over...My dad passed this morning...He's in a better place now...

Life can now move on

It's been a tough 4 years with my parent's being consumed by dementia...

What this has thought me is to cherish life as much as you can and don't have any regrets...Enjoy it while you can!

Truly sorry to hear ta. Very tough to hear of the suffering not only by your father but also to all involved.
Having almost lost my wife in a motorcycle wreck in 2009 I completely understand the "live life to the fullest" mantra.
You and your family are in my thoughts, take care, be strong and know that we are here for you.

Flatted my tubular (Conti Sprinter) on my front racing wheel. Can anybody point me to the place (or places) that does repairs?

Also, feel free to offer tips as to which low-to-mid-price tire I should buy as my next backup (I already have another Sprinter to glue on for now).

I'm sorry for your loss.

I've been watching my mother-in-law waste away from Alzheimers over the past few years and it's very tough at times, especially when I think about the things my wife wanted to do with her that she never will be able to.

As sappy as it sounds I really regret not being able to have my parent's at one of my races...

They knew I was addicted to this sport and on my bike all the time, but I don't think they really understood it...

I know my two boys had their eyes opened the first time they came to a club TT and saw the suffering at the end...Then what I did started to make a bit more sense to them...

Been there. My father rarely saw me race as a young man. The first big race he saw me at was in Collingwood. Myself and another rider jumped on the final climb (you may know the climb) and gapped the field, not by a lot but just enough for the win, unfortunately they moved the finish line about 100m further down the road from where the start was. I hit what I thought was the finish line, sat up for what I thought was the win then got swallowed up by the field. Well I freaked out and it was my dad who had to straighten me out, not the way I wanted him introduced to racing. I think though he was at few races he understood. Parents know a lot more than we (the adult child) understand. If your father is like mine he probably understood much better then you give him credit for.

Repair service (best in batches - do a group "patch" order)
https://www.tirealert.com/tirealert/Welcome.html

Buy only good tires. Cheap tires puncture a lot quicker.
