VINTAGE GT ROAD RACING BICYCLE / BIKE

Astonishing to learn that GT was building road bikes before thee company even existed, and that those 1970s bikes would be decorated with commonly available sticker packs from 1990s BMX bikes!

Seeing as how there's no pic, this could very well be a cross between a bicycle and a pickle. Or a Popsicle, maybe?

Some bikes just defy explanation

Shogun Prairie Breaker Pro--Tange Prestige

I built this up to have as an extra bike, but we are out of room at our apartment; best offer takes this beauty
Size Md frame (18")
Tange Prestige Tubing and Tange new old stock lugged 1" threaded mtb Crome fork
Ultegra octalink crankset
Dura Ace bottom bracket
Dura-Ace rear derailleur
XT front V brake
Rear U brake
LX V brake levers
Deore friction shifter
7sp
Shimano 600 headset
A few superficial scratches, but frame integrity is solid!

Gaspipe Bottecchia, only $500. Good luck with that. On the "plus" side, it looks to be mostly original.

Vintage Bottecchia De Luxe Road Bike - $500 (Neenah)

This Italian Road bike by Bottecchia Model from late 1960s is rare. May need new tires but still a real nice bike.

do NOT contact me with unsolicited services or offers

That's one way of looking at it, I guess! What I see is maybe a deliberate attempt to have no two parts match

I agree. Probably a parts bin special. But it makes sense to me.

Yep, the 531 decals are the given but any shyster can stick those on.
Its the lugs, they should read either Nervex or Simplex.
Then the parts, Stronglight cranks, Criterium Simplex (which has more chrome, and silver plug on front and silver label on rear derailleur), Brooks pro saddle and tubular rims (if they haven't been changed like my Mercier 300). That bike could be an AO8 (defined by wingnuts on front wheel) or a UO8 if back and front have quick release)

I am one that can be remiss in taking proper close-ups.. but even more irritating is the guy who takes 5 close-ups, but no shots of the whole bike! ... like they just forget to do the most obvious pic?
