Yes it is an AR-15, with lots of Magpul, and POF-USA goodies, and it is semi-automatic. Full auto is a waste of ammo imo. My friend has several full-auto weapons, and they are quite fun to shoot, but very expensive. Especially when .223 prices were out of control for the past 2 years. It's finally down to reasonable prices again. It is fun to dump 100rd Beta-C Mags in my friend's full-autos though. Nothing pisses off the neighbors more.

that's what i use, the CAR-15, with PEQ-3's and 4's...and some other goodies....no real need for peep sights though.

I usually have a 3x9 Leupold on there. It is kind of hard to use with a gas mask though, and not very good for CQB, but I'd rather use the 870 for that anyway. Your in Cali right, so your stuck with 10rd mags right? That's the one of the reasons I didn't move to San Jose a few years back. Your gun laws are crazy.

And no, Orange County is not anywhere remotely near the 'southern tier', it is clearly in the NYC metro area. If you want proof of that ask the MTA, who taxes us for NYC subways. I have half a dozen neighbors who commute to NY City every day. We are precisely 46 miles from the GW Bridge.
A) Get a map
B) Stop trying to label NY regions until after you know where they are, and even then, move on to things you understand.
