Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That's right - it took ALL my guesses to get it. But I did.

I spent a good 10 minutes on today's. I had a lot of things to consider, trying to get it in two guesses! Maybe next time

I searched "Wordle" on Yahoo and several of the first results to appear have the answer to today's game right there.

After yesterday's really fun ride on the Litespeed with the newly re-tuned Frankengruppo, I realize that since I'm not going to be riding outside before all the bits are in place to rebuild it with the Dura Ace kit, the next obvious step is to strip it down. Which seems a shame, since I spent a not inconsiderable amount of time getting it looking good and working well.

But, guys.....

I mean, the 7410 crank is The Most Beautiful Crankset Ever, so how can I not?

Almost. The Campy C-Record is more beautiful. Yours is the runner up.

Is that the last of the square-taper, or the start of Octa-link?

Close, but I prefer the more angular 7400 as far as DA cranks go. Same with the derailleurs.

As far as most beautiful, C-Record is elegant, but there's something about the Ofmega Mistral that just does it for me in a way no other crank ever will:

Especially the pista variety

Had an awesome, rainy/snowy ride today. Finished clearing the driveway, had some lunch and hit the road.

Really tried to work hard and Intervals says my new FTP is 291 watts. 3.77 W/kg
Averaged 254 for a whopping 17.5 mph on the fat gravel tires.

De gustibus non est disputandum.

Personally, in Campagnolo, I prefer the late 90s/early 00s Record and Chorus.

Last square taper. 7700 was the first Octalink.
