Followed me home the other day. Here it is after a full deep clean and tune up. Full original 600 tri color group, and one of the wildest paint schemes, unfortunately like the last IM I found, one size too small so it'll go back in to the wild.

Man, if I could find a 56cm IM in that condition for $200, it'd follow me home too! Always nice to have a bike for the average Joe to ride when they visit.

Cool thanks, i need to find that derailieur for my 85 Ironman. There seems to be some confusion on what the bike had originally.

Finally got some modern wheels. Here's a new pic of my 89 Ironman. I picked up these modern yet cheap wheels from CL. I realize the reviews on these wheels aren't great but for 50 bucks including 2 new continental 4 season tires what's not to like? I have to get a new long stem tube when the LBS opens then it's off on a long ride to test them out. So far I like the new look. Putting some white wrap soon or changing saddle to black one. Later Irongents.

Looking good Tex.. as for the black saddle or the white bar tape... the White saddle does blend nicely with the white in the middle of the frame, so thats a plus in my book. White bar tape is nice.. but ohh man it gets dirty easily, i guess if it were me i would keep the white saddle and wrap the bars in white..

Thanks for sharing. Congratulations and welcome to the forum. You keeping or selling? That appears to be an all original 58cm possibly a 60cm. Looks like you'll need a new chain and consumables, but the rest should clean up nicely. If you keep it stock those components will serve you well. However if you decide to go modern you'll find pages on here of modified bikes to give you inspiration. Best advice I can give you is to check out page 18 of this thread for RobbieTunes prescription for cleaning your Ironman. If you run into any problems, mechanical or otherwise, just ask. There's a few Master builders here. Keep it going.

You actually think your Ironman is worth a slide show on YouTube?

Really?

Do you?

You think it's that special?

Well, of course, you're darn right. it is.

I do, too!

Good job.

I'm afraid I'm no help this time. I pass through Nagadoches when I visit Shreveport. I'm actually going there Monday but I'm flying instead of driving. Go figure.

Here's one in black. I forget what the Ironman version is called. Too big for me and kinda dirty, however good price. With a odd 160.00 Listing probably could talk them down some. It appears to be a 58cm possibly 56cm.

Robbie, you do NOT want that bike. Hold out for an earlier Prestige in pink.

I wonder if the seller would be willing to drop it off at a local shop - perhapd they could pack it and send it on its way via BikeFlights for ya (if there is a local shop there that is)

Ugghhh- another IM thats reasonably close thats NOT a 54 aa

But if it were a 54, it likely would be in your garage now at that price, right?

Im done with buying bikes that arent my size

I enjoy seeing pics of what other people regard as "very very good condition and ready to ride" though
