I know Pro has the highest Shimano gear.

After buying my new Trek FX 7.4 last year, I want to get a carbon fiber bicycle and also found out I dont change my gear much. I am going to get x1 because of one front gear and keep things simple.

In Houston you can get away with fewer gears than you can in Vermont. So if I lived there, I would opt for fewer gears too. I have a triple on my hybrid and a double on my cross bike. I prefer the triple. You're going to have nicest hybrid in Texas.

Thanks! Riding this bike has been an absolute blast. It is very fast and gets up to speed quite quickly. With the current gears the cruising pace is actually very fast with the chain about on the 4th gear from the highest as opposed to the old setup where the chain would be bent over to the highest gear (11t). As far as the ride...I don't know if it could get any better. ;-)

Can't complain. I have no experience riding anything lighter. Wish I had some Zipp 303s with maybe some 28mm tires though.

I have the 2015 Sirrus Pro. This winter I swapped my wheels for carbon wheels and converted to tubeless. Haven't ridden them yet though. Waiting for the snow and ice to subside.

I have my stock Axis 2.0 wheels for sale. Sturdy and quiet and decent looking but the performance is just not there. They don't spin up fast or long. Just upgrade the wheels and you're bike is going to more lively. Make sure you pick a set that is not that loud in the rear hub some are loud or high pitched tone. I have high toned and use ear plugs, but the way they perform is well worth it.

I am running my Sirrus with Reynolds wheels. Feels like a totally different bike, compared to the stock wheels.

YES!!! Forgot 200 dollar stems get some wheels! My 349 dollar Easton wheels have really made it more fun to ride. Truthfully the Axis 2.0 are just for going from here to there kind of wheels.

It certainly looks the part.

What made you choose it over any other brand and how much does it weigh?

Just me, but I think it would have looked better as matt finish on that bike instead of shiny

Searched and found that the axis 2.0 = 2700g

...These are 1810g.Thoughts? Maybe with some 28c tires?

I'd be very surprised if your stock wheels came in at 2700g (bare, w/o discs or cassette). 2100g or so much more likely. The wheelset you link will likely be somewhat lighter/nicer, but not almost a kg.
