the Gary bars are more flared and have more sweep than the cowchipper. Similar change to what you made.
the cowchipper has the perfect bend to stillncomfortably access all hand positions while giving more leverage and a wider base to steer during loose gravel riding.

Anyone else jump on the Wahoo Elemnt black friday deal for $249? Mine arrived today. I kept going back and forth between the Bolt but I am glad for the bigger screen on the Elemnt.

New (these will be my primary) wheels are in the works....had to get some bits to be ready. RT800 rotors were on sale....in Typical Amazon fashion the lockring I needed wasn't prime, but the 6-bolt/CL adapter with lockring was the same price and Prime...for no real clear reason:
Do you know how much LEVERAGE big brakes like that will have?
MECHANICAL ADVANTAGE like that could slow down the earth's rotation!
Lockring schmockring.

I don't think I've owned or seen a bike with less than a 160mm disc in front. I think my AWOL had 160 front and rear, but the Cosmic Stallion and now the Black Mtn MCD have 160 front and 140 rear. Smallest I've seen on a MTB is 180 front and 160 rear. Most have been 210 front and 180 rear.

210 mm rotors
The first time I touched the brakes I was like, "Whoa.. Yeah!"

I decided that my original aluminum Niner RLT needed a few upgrades. Starting with a new Niner RTL steel frame.

Picked up a Fuji Jari 1.5 recently. It may not be as fancy as some of the ones I've seen on here but it's been plenty of fun on both pavement and gravel/dirt roads. My wife went with a Fuji Cross 1.7 (yes we have a Performance Cycle local to us) which is also a fine bike for our first venture into cycling at all. A few more posts and I can finally post some pics!

They're here. And blingy. And just in time for the roads to be clear to take Terreno Dry tires.
Onyx hubs (the purples match), Sapim butted spokes and purple ano nips, Light Bicycle rims. Polished cones, purple caps. Bill came in right about the same as a HED Belgium or Easton R90SL rim built the same....these can keep slicks, and in winter I'll keep studs on my alloy set.

I think gravel is the only genre where riders wouldn't bat an eyelash at aero wheels with fenders.
Roadies would be like, "WTF?" but gravel riders are like, "Yeah, that's cool. Lets ride."
It looks great. Go get them dirty.

I bought a Selle Anatomica saddle for my bike.
I got a brown one and it looks really nice but, it does need some patina. Can't wait to get it on the bike and put the personal touch on it.
