On second thought, I'll take those chrome fenders too. Those actually look pretty solid, but the stick-shift is a little iffy. 🤔😉

Only $700!!

https://www.kijiji.ca/v-road-bike/ha...ationFlag=true

Per ad:

Selling a very large Miyata in fantastic condition. Frame size is 26 inch or 66cm. Stand over height is 36 inch. The rider height would be in the range of 6’3”-6’8” tall. I am 6’3” with 37” inside leg and I ride it fine, but a taller rider may suit it better than me. Please note the seat post will not move up or down so we will need to see if it fits you well, before buying.
The bike is in amazing condition with a few original parts and a few new parts. The wheelset is a new strong Shimano wheelset with bladed spokes which I purchased new last year for $400. It’s also got new 105 crankset and rear mech. New bottom bracket, cables, Prologo saddle and Fizik bar tape. Headset bearings done. I ride this bike once and a while in my group ride and it’s fast.
I’m in no rush to sell. If you think you might be the right fit and you are looking for a unique vintage bike that is quick and nice looking, then let me know.
Serious buyers only.

Steal of a deal on a Continental

Ignoring the price, this is an example of a bike that might have been improved by switching out the old parts

Hate when craigslist sellers state "all prices are OBO".

Then I offer $10 less than the asking price and seller responds with "price is firm"

Vintage road bike - $275

The seller is pretty good at covering the bases here!!!

Not sure of the manufacturer? Looks like late 70s English, Japanese of Italian style beautiful lugged frame. Might be a Motobecane, Raleigh?
Of course, the seller seems to have forgotten to include FRENCH???

Just a touch ambitious with the pricing.

Oh, and it includes a spare tube.

Ok,
This one made it to one of the local thrift stores with the backwards fork.

Perhaps I'll have to see if I can catch one built like this on the road.

What is that yellow stripe on the down tube?

Seriously, would this be a good cat 5 bike?

That saddle looks like it might be comfortable, but maybe a little scratchy sometimes?

Hard to say what the yellow line is. It looks like a decal of some sort, but I can't make it out without higher resolution photos.

Racing that? I'm sure it could be done, but it would put the rider at a serious disadvantage over other competitors that likely would have bikes 10 or 15 pounds lighter and 20 years newer.

It was a decent ad for a cheap cruiser, but the copy kinda wanders towards the end...

Schwin Crusier - $35 Pensacola, FL

SS Steel, chain and sprocket, big butt seat.Wal-Mart 169.99.............5one2-6884 Same bike on ebay, but with hand brake, and chain guard 302.99.
I put new inner tube in today 3/29/18. Found tiny pin size whole in old tube. Ready to ride.

Under no conditions do I ever respond to emails. I auto-Delete Them Instantly! No time for Scams. And NO! I won't call you. Each email it goes up 5.00, keep em coming! I'd like something like that for a cheap Klunker build, but couldn't take the risk of getting trapped in an hour long, one-sided conversation.
