You'd need a PDA on the handle bars to figure out how to sequential shift this puppy.

For $575, you can have a 56cm Bianchi fixie. Neat.

Bikes: a heavy old steel Frankenbike Gitane, a cruiser (not something I'd buy for myself, but it was a gift, what can you do?), a Greg Lemond, a Specialized Stumpjumper(old, steel, fully rigid), and a Specialized Safire

I can have that head tube replaced for $100 locally. Still not worth $425 though.

"This is a good exercise bike as it is heavy."

Classic. Seller is a bit of a tool, with annoying habit of selling damaged bikes and failing to mention the damage, but this one isn't damaged. It's just an excellent exercise bike because it is heavy. Sheesh.

Or maybe they're not constrained by the "rules" the "man" forces you to build bikes with, maaan. I say it's a modern art masterpiece. He's deconstructing our very idea of what a bicycle is.

Imagine the look on an equally silly person who test rode it only to find that pedaling moves you backwards! ;-)

According to my calculations, pedaling that bike will actually move you backwards in *time*. Might be a good way to go scoop some C/V finds before they were C/V. Only problem is you have to shift the gears to small/small to go forward in time again - hello chain rub!

At least the lighting is decent. See a lot of pictures taken in dark garages with a row of upside down bikes. The guy will usually be selling the one in the middle

Remember this IS a genuine original early schwinn

Vintage schwinn - $1000 (concord / pleasant hill / martinez)

Date: 2011-02-22, 5:29PM PST
Reply to: sale-gshgm-2229344726@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

This is a classic antique schwinn

Condition is 7/10

Custom red/green paint job.

Tires hold air, rides fine.

With a bit of tarnish remover and polish the chrome would POP.

Remember this IS a genuine original early schwinn

Guy drinks light beer, what can you expect?

I think the Budget Bicycle Center is mainlining some extremely pure delusion:

https://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Ross-Sup...item51980103a3

I mean, I like old Rosses, and they're certainly under-rated, but this is a 200$ bike at best.

Who sets their prices? I know we've discussed this before, but they're absolutely out of whack with nearly everything I know. I've vistied their store, and they've always been a bit on the high side, but on-line, they're insane...

This bike is light weight road bike with mustache handlebars so that you can ride upright and still move fast. I'm 5'8.5" and it fits me fine though it would work for someone a bit shorter too. The frame would've been too small for me without the tall handle bars.

This is a really fun bike to ride. The electra bell and front light are included.

Thanks!
