He is also charging nearly $100 for standard UPS shipping when you include the cost of the shipping box.
Sorry to drag this one back to the top, but if this bike is so "competitive", how come the safety levers?

Tell me the price is missing a decimal point (and isn't he off on the "531" claim by about 40 years?) ...

Excellent. Can be used by 5' 8" riders; though currently set up for 6' 4" riders. With the size of that headtube, 6' 4" looks about right.

Get a load of this seller's reserve-price nonsense...

https://cgi.ebay.com/dia-compe-cantil...QQcmdZViewItem

since ebay.co.uk has a min reserve price of £50 that is a ridiculous policy and too high for the item, i will cancel de auction if does not reach my min of £20
Then start the bloomin' auction at £20, you bloody idiot!

-Kurt

I have heard those brakes aren't very powerful either.... though I did dig up a set more or less at the LBS thinking I may want to make my international more "original"... still haven't installed 'em

I had a pair on a Peugeot ATB that I sold - worked quite well once they were adjusted right. This is with MTB levers, mind you. Don't know how they'd react with road levers.

My guess is a type of mud guard to stop rain splatter. Normally they're used on MTB on the down tube.

An asparagus omellete will do, thanks.
