Oh, no, I'm sorry! Well, not really, but a little sorry. It's actually significantly nicer in person than it looked in those eBay photos, which is always nice.

I like it, but it looks uncomfortable to me. The grips are too close to the seat. I'd put a stem with a longer reach on it.

Lamplight--I hope your brother likes his mixte. I have an earlier version (pictured in this thread somewhere) that I like much better, but my husband has a fascination with the salmon pink colour of this bike and my Centurion Ironman .
brianinc-ville--I don't know about Mr. Mixte (mhendricks), but this Ms. Mixte has not had any problems hauling my cargo trailer with my Raleigh mixte. I don't know why you would feel that you were going headfirst over the bars, as I actually feel that I am further away from the bars than with my traditional diamond frames.

It seems to me that the mixte frames are a bit "close coupled" I just gave away a real clean Nishiki sport because I just couldn't get comfortable on it, and it steered to quick for me. I'm working on a Raleigh mixte and setting it up with moustache handlebars and stem shifters. Looking for a suntour power stem shifter. No new paint job unless I get carried away!!! I also have a Peugeot mixte, my first road bike, set up for us older guys!!!

i changed it up a little bit. the other bars looked better but the cut & flips are much more comfy, i've been commuting on it lately. the yellow tire is going away soon.

I think this is a bit unusual.It has front and rear racks,front and rear Sachs drum brakes.The rear hub is an internal geared 2 speed with a 5 speed freewheel giving this bike 10 speeds.I believe it is a German bike.Note the curved tube.
