^ Which were 700C. The original rims on my '73 International were Nisi I believe.

the copper can sure be beautiful in bright sun
pedals and saddle upgrades over OEM
wonder why skewers are Nuovo Tipo
original stem would have been GB hex head
did it come with a shop transfer?

Same for the pedals. I recall OEM being Campagnolo Strada pedals but at time the best had a chromed steel cage. The ones on the bike look like the Campagnolo Strada Superleggero, with an anodized aluminum outer cage. Again not original, but the best available upgrade if the originals were lost or damaged. Also, new in box as I recall were tubulars, not clinchers.
It could however be that my recollection is from 1970 when I gawked in awe more intensely, than in 1973.

Same for me with an International, PX-10, and a 1969 Raleight Competition. Matching size, condition, completeness and cost are hard to do! I just have to build my PX-10 in-a-box!

Swapped over a set of 700c clincher wheels, Acorn saddle bag, and a TA handlebar bottle cage I had in the parts bin. Ready for a ride later this afternoon.

I recall these originally equipped with Brooks Pro saddles, though this may have been a later upgrade. I would call it a plausible replacement - if an original Pro was damaged and needed replacement, to get a big rivet model like this or whatever was top of the line, is what I would have bought.

My '74 had tubs, NISI rims, a black Brooks professional saddle and the plated cage Record Strada Campy pedals. The only change I made was a set of Sun Tour Superbe Pro side pull brakes and levers, reach was just enough to work properly and safely. the hub set was Campy high flange Record.

Yes those cranks are the same whether they come with the Holdsworth name, Velo Orange, or IRD. I recently put the triple crankset on my McLean. The rings are 48/34/24. Lowest gears I ever had, and I love them. It's also the best shifting crankset I've ever had.

It is really very nice! Out for a quick 15 miles on Sunday morning; everything ran smoothly. I think it will be perfect once I get the compact crank on there, and maybe some wider handlebars

Here it is with the VO compact crank installed. This will provide a much more workable set of gears for the terrain around here, and my old knees.

clinchers are bike shop modified.
the crank noted I am pretty sure will need a longer spindle than the 112-3mm asymmetrical as original Campagnolo. Taper length is part of the culprit. I have found those IRD or similar swallow too much of the Campagnolo spindle, the crank will bottom out on the back side of the spindle.
