6'2" and change with a 34" cycling inseam. All of these bikes are 58cm. Currently I've only been riding the Felt and I'm about to drop the stem another 5mm.

I'm not sure that you read my post correctly - which was specifically directed at people who DO want to pay for a custom frame.
I can't really relate. My ideal bike fits me correctly, and if that means my correctly sized bike is inelegant as my size 14 shoe... well, I couldn't care less.
I'm not 100% sure that mid-sized bikes REALLY look better. I think it's just what we see the most of and has become the standard in our minds.

Thanks! Yes, I'd say the Roubaix is most comfy, but the Felt is more fun. It's livelier, I like the lower position and I get more weight over the front wheel, which has done a lot for my cornering. I haven't been on my Roubaix since last October, I've been meaning to take it out and see what I think of it now.

Again, I'm 6'4" 35" inseam....long arms and torso...
Might need to tilt the bars up just a tad...

Very cool--thanks for posting that Heyduke, I've been looking forward to seeing it. Do you race it? And where do you think the frame fits in as far as fitting just right, maybe a little large or a little small?
Cheers.
Cheers.

I just built this 736R so I'm still tweaking it for smoothness/comfort. It's DA/Ultegra 9sp with cheap wheels.
I have a 61cm 730R too. No, I'm no shill....just like the frames and the prices and the uniqueness and the customer service.
The fit right now is a little on aggressive side for me, but I have a 120mm stem on there that needs to be replaced with a 90mm. The tt and st lengths are good though and the aluminum tube shapes are very unique.
Overall it's a tall, inexpensive frame with good ride qualities.

I don't race....just weekend rides and the occasional long charity ride.

I may not be selling it, the "Cyfac" thread renewed my interest in it. To answer your question, I was selling it because I never ride it, and right now it is stripped down to just a frame set. The Cyfac has excellent ride qualities (smooth, stiff, just feels good), but the head tube is pretty tall, for my position on the bike. I've been contemplating selling my Roubaix , and building the Cyfac back up for my second bike.

Thanks. 16.8 lbs when I finished. With this saddle, it is 17.8 lbs. My rear likes this one better, so 17.8 lbs it is.

Don't cut that steerer however...cause guys like me like high bars.
BTW, let me know if you put the frame on ebay.

Point taken. My counterpoint would be many IMHO buy custom needlessly. There is nothing wrong with spacers and a riser stem. Spending an extra $1.5K for a custom frame because you want a longer head tube is little value added for somebodies sense of proper aesthetic. My bike fits me perfectly as well nor do I care if others find it inelegant.
Most frames nowadays are made with long top tubes and pretty short seat tubes. I'm 5'10 with a 34.75 inseam and short torso. Fitting by the 'correct' top tube just kills my back, so I'm going to be stepping up a frame, but ideally I'd get a custom. I'm hoping I can find a good fit without going that route...

You folks >6'5" riding stock bikes have me scratching my head that either I'm proportioned really weirdly or my fit fu is just unbelieveably bad. I'm 6'5" with a 36.5" cycling inseam and a 37" sleeve just fits me, and I have yet to ride a bike longer distances (say > 30 miles) without all kinds of minor pains from being scrunched up, or back and neck pain from extreme saddle-bar drop to lengthen the cockpit. These bikes below have tts from 59.5 to 63cm (on the mtn bike tho), all with 130cm stems except 140 on the green machine.
Only the Surly is pretty comfortable, but it's no fun (for me) riding a fixed or ss bike 50 miles at a shot. Also only on the Surly can I look down and see the head of the stem directly over the front hub, the rest I'm way ahead of it (though that rule of thumb probably doesn't hold for us taller folk), and only on the Surly can I get even near kops.
all st measures are c-t
2005 Surly Steamroller 63cm:
1983? Gardin? 64cm (sigh, so pretty, yet just doesn't fit):
2001 Jamis Eclipse 63cm (sigh, the reason I'm officially giving up on fitting myself to a bike and getting set to get a pro fit and maybe a custom frame, dang it's a sweet bike though):
70s? candy pearl pink nightmare 65cm (RIP) (made me realize that I like hoods and I like to go far and fast):
2003 Kona Smoke 22", retrofitted as a snow/utility bike:

7'er with a 38" inseam on a 68cm Custom Co-Motion Mazama:
I had a 25" Trek 7200 for a couple of years, but I recently went custom. I have logged over 1,000 miles on this bike and last month I finished my first Imperial Century.

Just shy of 6'1" barefoot, with a 35" inseam. Ride a 60cm Trek.
