He-he and thanks.
The 'Orange Crush' is an '82 Miyata 912. Donor frameset from a fellow forum member. Original plan was a build around some elusive Suntour parts but then thought of salvaged Shimano 6207 (600EX). Mixed sources, bottom of the bin parts that I've been spending time sanding and polishing to presentable, matched to the frame condition. Believe that series is later than the frame but far better vs original Arabesque.
Rims are Super Champ Arc en Ciel with Wolber Team tubulars (N.O.S.). Time to use them!
So with 700c, discovered the standard reach 6207 calipers are a few millimeter short and I was not going to hack them. But.... late last night on flea bay, did find an rare pair of long reach 6207 calipers. Surprisingly are not easily found so I jumped on them and pretty happy with the price.
Happy New Year!

Regina shop box and cogs for trade.
Even if you have no interest in the box you might enjoy the prices listed on the chart in the third photo.
I'm open to trade offers.
Some things I covet:
Framesets by small North American builders in size 60 to 62 c-to-c, Della Santa, Marinoni, Eisentraut, Mooney, Gilmour, Kvale, Weigle, etc.
Schwinn Prologue in gray (60-62cm c-to-c).
Mavic deraileurs, bars, stem.
Fork alignment jig, Park, VAR, or similar.
Pre Nuovo Record road bike, patina not a problem.
PDG Paramount with wild paint job... In fact I'm a sucker for all sorts of wild paint jobs. How about that pastel pink Pinarello that you just can't bear to be seen riding?
Stronglight 49d crankset.
Modern items - White Industries vbc cranks, HED Belgium+ rims.
What other intriguing hardware do you have to offer?
I recognize that some of the items I seek are either more or less valuable than the item I'm offering. I think we can work something out. (No, I don't really know what the Regina box is worth, not exactly a common item and no sold listings on ebay.)
The Fine Print
This box was a fixture in a shop in Santa Cruz, California for many years. When freewheels were fading in popularity the box was not restocked with cogs or freewheel bodies. As a result there are no freewheel bodies in this box and most of the popular cog sizes are also missing. There are no 14 tooth cogs. There are however quite a few cogs in the 29 tooth to 32 tooth range which were not at all popular in the seventies but have become more popular in recent years. Don't expect that you will get all the cogs that you need to build a complete freewheel from this box.

Want to trade my 170mm Dura Ace 7402 crankset for your Mighty Tour crankset.
Please note lots of "patina" on the Dura Ace crankset. I'll gladly accept in trade a crankset of equal "character."

False alarm, the bike I thought had the crank didn't. I'm pretty sure I have one but not sure where it is. The crank that I found is a Shimano triple FC 6206 EX 600 non Biopace in good shape. Looks like some of these were considered Deerhead and or XT so I'll hang on to it

As you can see, they aren't perfect. A previous owner engraved some info, and there's some derailleur rub on the inside of the driveside arm. If you want them, please let me know and I'll remove them.

ISO: new home for this orphan: 36* front, no skewer. As usual cost of postage/shipping.
I am trying to regain my work bench one item at a time. I will spend some of this weekend posting pics of 700c rims that have accumulated around here. Smiles, MH

Have you tried "rebuilding" it by flooding it with some sort of degreaser, to see if that wakes up the pawls?

Orphaned Sunour bar end shifter or parts.
Hi folks,
I recently got a "bargain" set of Suntour bar end shifters. One small problem. The hex nut is missing from one of them and the screw that holds the ratcheting mechanism is the wrong one. It's just a normal threaded screw. Surprise, both of the slotted lock nut were on them. I can make do, but was hoping some one would have these parts.
Cheers,Van Thanks to jethin, the parts are on their way!

Sometimes older cables start to fray in there also.
Sometimes older cables start to fray in there also.
I know there are other brands like micro shift, but i’m concerned with my ultegra being 20 years old, even a 9 speed micro shift shimano compatible will not function properly with it. I also don’t want to drop 150 on shifters, when I plan on replacing the bike when I can. I just don’t know how long it will be before I can replace it.
