30 miles late Saturday afternoon. Nice day, partly cloudy, about 70 degrees, a bit windy making some parts of the ride a challenge, but helping on others. Improved my time on a difficult climbing segment that's thwarted me before, despite the quartering wind in my face.

Yesterday's 48* and sunny certainly was warmer than 48* with light rain.
20 dry miles was beautiful.

30 mile out&back with three other riders. As with yesterday, the entire first half was directly into a strong headwind (though slightly less strong than yesterday's) and the return was with that wonderful tailwind at our backs.

I got out earlier than normal this morning, because of above normal temps. Got in 2 hrs and 20 minutes.
After a big mid-afternoon lunch I went out to the park and walked the MUP for 2 miles in about 40 minutes.

A slow 20 miles Sunday. Was supposed to be resting but rode to visit a friend who just got home from the hospital. Legs were dead, headwind half the ride, and the last half mile to her house is a 6% grade. But I can rest tomorrow.

A steady 100km or so today heading north. Riding side-on to warm east winds. A bit of gravel riding and Reserve exploring mixed in.
Had to ride on the main drag for a bit, so copped the usual idiot or two.
Yesterday followed some bike paths which ran beside some main roads and overpasses. Quite a few nice loops.
One path ended at a freeway so I walked my bike up an embankment and slowly rode a track which ran along the back of a few semi-rural lots.
Good thing some killer guard dogs were fenced in.
Spooked a fairly large bird of prey sitting in a tree. That was cool.

Rode the Annual Rails to Trails ride in Inverness, FL, on the Withlacoochee Trail, yesterday. This ride is normally held in October but was rescheduled due to the trail damage by Hurricane Irma. There were originally four of us riding but it ended up with my friend Karen and myself doing the ride. Temps were supposed to be in the upper 40s but were in the upper 60s when we got there, around 8:00 am. Winds were mild and from the north, increasing as the morning progressed. The ride went to the southern most trail head which was 31 miles from Inverness. We had a nice tailwind heading south but it wasn't so nice heading north with a constant headwind for 31 miles. Will be going back to do the Clean Air Ride on the 24th of this month.

Commuted to work today. Third day in a row of strong steady winds from the north. I work south of my apartment, so this morning's ride was lovely! Not looking forward to tonight's return though...

Stretched out the legs for a whopping 2.25 miles this morning. Thought about
extending it, but have my Livestrong at the YMCA.
Rehab continues, going for 5miles tomorrow !

Out today at 0315 for the first 50 mile segment. A cold 52F for this geezer but winds were low. Heading out in a few minutes for segment 2, hopefully another 50.
Capped off today's riding with another 51 miles.

Commuted again. I don't usually ride 4 days in a row, but today's weather conditions demanded I go for it: If the forecast is to be believed I'll have a tailwind in both directions!

After an all day rain event yesterday my legs got a break. Today we have a cloudless but very windy day. The 20-30 mph westerly wind gusts were blowing me all over the road, so I headed to my favorite neighborhood with the long north-south streets to get off the major thoroughfares. Being in that more upright position on my hybrid probably didn't help with the wind situation. Got in 110 minutes, even though it felt like it was getting cooler and more windy as the ride went on.

11.8 miles (19.0k). First ride in 8 dayz. Between the cold mornings (mid 20s) and health issues (High BP, kidney malfunction/anemia, terminal cranial-rectal inversion) I haven't been able to ride. I'd rather the VA just put a spigot in my arm I've had so many blood draws. I braved the lite but cold wind just to get a ride in this afternoon, felt good.

22 miles Tuesday afternoon. Stiff north wind helped me PR a hill climb segment that usually thwarts me. I'm not really fast on hills but a nice tailwind is the next best thing.

Wintertime returned last night when a cold front blew in, causing the temp to fall to almost freezing. Although it's warming up a little, that cold northerly wind is keeping the wind chill down into the upper 30's.
So I decided to forego the bike ride, bundled up, and went to the park to walk the 1/4 mile track. I got in 16 laps for 4 miles in 78 minutes for some daily exercise.

Another typical 40 miles. A good solo ride in some pretty stiff winds.

51 miles on first ride in two weeks. 54° Been snowing every other day, today there was some snow melt mixed with the grit they put down instead of salt on the north side of one hill. Clean dry roads everywhere else. I felt a little tired and cut the ride short by seven miles. Good to be back on the bike

Another repeat of yesterday with the cold northerly wind keeping the wind chill factor down below 40F.
And just like yesterday I decided to forego the bike ride, bundled up, and went to the park to walk the 1/4 mile track. I got in 16 laps for 4 miles in 80 minutes for some daily exercise.
