Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Tuesday's date is 2-22-22.
It is also the end of my Marietta daily journal subscription. Then I'll be just like @Velo Vol - a non subscriber. Shutter the thought.

Hence my hesitation to mount them in the winter. But after 2 months of practically no rain, the roads are all dry, dry, dry, so I'm a lot less worried about punctures.

The bit before the race would've been my favorite part though.

I was offered a free month of Amazon Prime. I accepted and just finished watching season one episode one of Mr. Robot. I will watch it until my sub runs out. Having watched the whole thing before, I hope to be able to see the dominoes fall into place as it goes along.

Have to say, I've never run aground under sail, only under power. Doing it under spin would be funny but not funny at the same time, but only to an observer or ten years later.

Was t-boned and t-boned once each, fortunately not helming or on my boat either time.

It's Monday and of course it's warming up and a great day to ride. Several of my cycling friends are off today for the President's Day holiday and going for a ride, and although part of me is happy for them, snarky me is feeling kinda snarky.
