Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I need a new phone. I want to get one with dual-band GPS though, and they're still too expensive. I'd even settle for one that solely does L5 GNSS, if anyone decides to release one.

It would be so nice to get sub-metre accuracy in Strava phone app.

You'd still be waiting. We signed up with the state a while back and my wife just got a notification that she could set an appointment. I still haven't been contacted.

My schtick on the covid vaccine is that up until recently, getting one has been like trying to get Springsteen tickets. Get on the website, keep hitting refresh, wait for the next section of seats to open up. Very difficult. But now the supply/demand mismatch has changed and it has become (or will be shortly) very easy to get them.

Nah, (most of the time) I want to see some or all of my data, and I ain't strappin' a 6" screen to my stem. That reminds me, I downloaded a new thingie to the Garmin the other day, but forgot to use it yesterday. Will have to remember next time -

Call local pharmacies, and ask about "waste lists."

Good chance the shot will be in your arm before week's end if you do that.
