Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Actually, the tilt in the Earth's axis vs our revolution around the sun is the reason for the season.

Yep ... Christmas Day is 3 hours away from being over. It's been a nice day. We slept in, went to a coworker's place and were treated to a good Christmas dinner and conversation, and now we're watching National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.

The temperature reached a humid 27C, the roses and magnolias are blooming. The figs are ripening on the tree hanging over our fence. The hills are browning up in the summer heat, but lots of areas are still lush and green. It's beautiful here.

Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas! Ho Ho Ho!

And if I look a little rough, it's because I got woke up at 6:00 AM to go to the drug store for an asthma inhaler!
