I find some bikes just swing like a metronome when I'm out of the saddle, and others seem to need more input. The Battaglin is the former sort, and it also corners like it knows where it's going. It's almost like it's saying, "Don't worry, guy. I know what I'm doing", and doesn't need me to tell it too much. Rides a little rough, however.

They definitely felt... weird at first. The leverage out of the saddle felt totally different. But with enough miles, they felt right and I haven't noticed them since. I'm fairly broad-shouldered, too, so I should be on 44s, according to conventional sizing of a few years back, but there's no impingement of breathing or any of the silly things like that that have been suggested in the past, so I only see negatives in going back to wider bars.

Not if the family got a good shyster.
Often the "resolution" is to simply take the driver's insurance proceeds and call it a day since the driver likely doesn't have the resources to pay a judgment or larger settlement.
As for criminal liability, the prosecutor would have to show intent or some grossly negligent (drunk, for example) conduct in order to have a case. That can be hard to achieve.

It’s not the route, it’s doing it the morning after a Moderna shot. I was overly optimistic this a.m. and pretty sick right now.
Don’t plan on riding Sunday, @datlas.

I had a 2005 Spec Roubaix Pro that de-bonded at the BB as in the cup sleeve ripped out. This was in the Fall of 2010 and they sent a 2011 Roubaix Pro frame and payed for all shipping LBS labor. Total turn around time from dropping off it to getting back was 9-10 days. It was incredible, too. The improvements in frames from 2005 to 2011 were huge, IMHO.

Yes. I haven't tried 38's, but I wouldn't be averse to them.

I think the SUV hit him as they were both going the same direction and then the driver freaked and drove over the stop sign. Cody was with Pete's sister I think.

This is something I understand. Between the bike, and many hours at a softball field in a t-shirt and shorts, my tan lines are on point. Unfortunately, it's been a lot more of the latter.

I have very little substantive to add. One of my bikes has 38s and at least one has 44s. I like them both and switch between them without issue. One has indexed shifting and the rest are friction. Same.
The bike I was riding when the two spokes broke was the one with the tubular wheel set. I hate the thought of hunting down new spokes. I couldn't find any at the time I built these, at a reasonable price. Certainly it will be worse now. Of course I built these with used spokes and it came back and bit me. But I got to try out tubulars in the interim.

Hey Velo Vol it’s not quite Band, but my daughter’s wind ensemble has a concert this weekend and the ensemble does have several trumpet players. Here is the program.

I declared myself the winner of the inaugural East Coaster Tour de Brown Squirrel, by virtue of finishing the event less bloodied. bampilot06 finished second.

Frankly, our band is in sorry shape right now. It has not recovered since the COVID shutdown. We had three flutes and four clarinets this week. Sad.
