It's starting to. Maybe it will improve as it gets closer.

I'm 80% sure I'm postponing until Sunday.

I'll make it official tomorrow.

That sure makes getting there easier, vs. a 5-hour Fri night drive.

I too also did this ride several years ago. It was a good ride, lots of fun, good people and nice bikes. I came up for it last year....but the weather was NOT cooperative.

I / We - are going to try and make it this year......it depends upon how much I get done between now and then. If we don't make it - it's not because of a lack of interest - we will see most of you for Coppi

It will be in the upper 20s when we start.

Epic enough for me.

dang... I already put all of my cold weather clothes away!

The NOAA forecast is saying a low of mid 30's, so maybe we won't see the 20's, but is also calling for rain and snow overnight. I was hoping to bring the Raleigh Team, but might fall back to a fendered bike.

Steve in Peoria
(the forecast for Peoria isn't much better)

Picked up a claim to work in Mount Carmel, too, so I'm heading that way tomorrow, finding a room, and will see folks on Sunday am.

Wow, good luck all. This sounds like a great ride but that snow could be a bummer. Robbie will think he's back home in Mineral Point riding his newspaper delivery bike around town . . . he'll be in hog heaven if there's snow.

Staying in Barrington. Non-refundable room.
Probably pizza tonight at Nancy's in Crystal Lake.

Hope the roads are cleared.
Union labor, weekend work; yeah I'm sure they're up for it.
If not, I'm tossing snowballs at @iab's house.

I guess I'll bring a bike that can get dirty.

I'll be bringing a bike that is used to being abused....

it was built in Arlington Heights by a hobbyist frame builder, so it'll be a small homecoming for it.

Steve in Peoria (the rain is about to start right now)

I will see how the roads look in the morning. I have the Roberts ready to go but if the roads are bad, I will bring the Prologue instead.

I was planning on riding my Ironman, but it doesn't have fenders. None of my bikes do, and I don't have any cold weather gear so I'm probably going to have to skip this one. We'll see tomorrow morning.
