Hot. It was about 90 with high humidity for yesterday’s century. It ended up being a ride of attrition. I felt great at the end but I don’t mind the heat, the few that finished with me were not looking strong, and we shed a lot on the way. We started with 20 riders and ended with 4.

Installed and test rode the single 32mm gatorskin (yes I ordered two; only one was delivered) today. That is one big tire! It'll take some getting used to.

You do it in editing. You slow down the frame rate so it appears to the viewer like the speed they are used to.

I am guessing it was a mix of heat and humidity and duration of ride. I suspect many of these riders are used to our typical weekend club rides of 50-65 miles. Maybe they did not eat and drink enough. I hope they learn for next time.

Peeing in the pool is actually bad for you: Peeing in the Pool Isn’t Just Gross—It’s Actually Bad for You (msn.com)
Good to know.
Good to know.
I made myself very unpopular at the pool where I used to work out by calling guys out for not showering or simply splashing a little water here and there. They were probably pissing in it too.
Iceland has a public “sundlaug” in every neighborhood and there’s someone right there in the shower area whose job it is to make sure you strip naked and soap up.

I've done a bit of plumbing work on old, nasty stuff. Not a lot at the current house but last Monday I had to replace the flush valve. My cat though this was great. he is fascinated with the toilet and we have to keep it closed or he will climb in. While I was working on it he would not stay away.

My friend and I did 55ish on Saturday and it was plenty. It was harder for him and he usually kicks my butt. We'll see how he does tomorrow.

I shipped a bike back East one summer when we visited the family in PA. It was July or August, and the air was so thick, it was palpable. I was really suffering at temps in the low 80s. It was much worse than the low 90s out here.

When I visited my friend in Arkansas it was ridiculous, something like 90+ humidity and temperature. It was hard to breathe. We went out in his car and it started raining so hard we could hardly see, even with the wipers on high, and water was standing on the road.

I officially started the "lower your triglycerides" diet today. I was ready to cave and take the pills she gave me but my bil talked me out of it. Good for him.

Was not feeling todays ride at all. Made a solid attempt to get my KOM back. Heart rate was already high before I started the segment, but still my effort was solid. Even more reason I think the guy cheated.

I see no good reason to worry about your triglycerides unless they are in the thousands.
