Tom,
Just read your OP post. Dang.... I've always had a 'cop' mentality when it came to backups. Like most if not all cops carry a back up gun then thier service gun and I adopt that approach with the bear spray thing. What size bear spray did you have? I was thinking of having a smaller sized one tucked into the socks while moving about camp or always have one on me if I did not have the main one on me. If you had both it would have at least gave you a back up incase the main one ran out.
Damn... I need to contact the people at https://no-contact.com/index.html with that story and have them make a male jacket as well. To the best of my knowledge and from reading their site when it was first made a while ago it was made for females only and designed so guys can''t wear it (what? Never heard of buying 2 sizes up? ).
Protected from shorts if in rain as well IIRC.

Regarding Tom ...
I'm not sure how many of you know or not, but we've lost one of our fellow cycletourists and a great forum administrator.
I was so hoping his health would improve and he would be back on the bicycle again, but sometimes these things are just not meant to be.
