Here is a pic of a self extractor and its internal bits. There is the washer that goes between the bolt and crankarm, then the bolt, the nylon or teflon or whatever bearing washer then the cap.

The only thing you need to remove and install the crank is the 7mm. The bolt stays in the crank when it comes off....you don't need to mess with any of that assembly unless the bolt is broken, stripped, etc.

Are you all certain Victory cranks have left and extractor threads? NON- self extracting Victory cranks are right hand thread threads on both sides, I cant see Campy making 2 versions of the lowly Victory crank.
