Along with all the typical New England trappings, fall marks the return of the dreaded yellow beasts....School Buses I find dealing with them an absolute nightmare, sometimes I just turn tail and pickle the filled flight plan, between the colorful kids and the traffic chaos I hate the yellow whales!

I love riding through corn country right before harvest. The wind blowing through dried corn stalks makes a distinctive rustling sound ... nothing like it.

After I am picking myself up off the pavement after not being able to un-clip. Now that's a Fall.

Leaves covering the trail..................and the horse....stuff. Came home from my ride today with the bike well covered. Now at last it looks like my bike.

Met too many nice people on the trail today, spent almost as much time talking as riding. Still it was fun. Fall is a good time to ride.

First it was all of the acorns falling. Bumper crop this year.
Then the walnuts starting falling. Fun to hit with a wheel.
But this week the Osage-Orange fruits started to fall. Don't want them hitting me and running over one can be nasty.

A triple bratwurst???

Another sign of fall for you is a trip to the cardiac unit.

WOW - and here I thought Mississippi was nothing but swamp and destruction left by Sherman's march to the sea.

Me spending three hours of valuable riding time today mulching, raking and picking up leaves. Then
disconnecting the pool filter and draging it into the garage for the winter. Then the wife wanted to take the dog to the park for a walk since it was so nice today. Bottom line no ride today but, it was a nice walk. To top it off it got dark WAY to early today.
