Water is both a liquid and a gas at 25 C. The vapor pressure of water at 25 C is 0.44 kPa.

Any more water vapor talk, and you will literally be yelling at clouds.

If we're really going to be pedantic, we should probably point out that for the conditions discussed in this thread, a fair amount of the water will likely be a solid as well. Where I live, that solid water is a pretty nasty hindrance to riding at speed.

Now let's do seeing your breath in the cold.

Well this morning it was about freezing() Celsius, 32 Fahrenheit) and I survived.
A number of years ago a contemporary of mine had a heart attack while running on a treadmill indoors. I also heard that watching sports on TV can cause cardiac problems.
We're not going to get out of this alive.

You forgot to mention men straining on the pot or having a MI during ‘the act’, Of course that could be outdoors as well.

You sound like an idiot. Lemme guess; in your day; bikes still had solid rubber tires and chains still found on factory machinery, and you rode in temps so cold, it froze time itself.

lol yeah. I think that day I had trouble w/ my eyes because whatever eye wear I was using failed on my return leg, directly into blizzard winds. it's always good, until it isn't. meaning going with the wind & then going into the wind. I've since reconfigured my eye protection.

Try ski goggles. They work wonderfully

I actually use heated Snow Machine goggles, and they work even below zero F.

oh yeah went thru a whole ski goggle phase
on that day, while going with the wind I was using regular safety glasses, like clear sunglasses
on the way back, into the wind they were useless
I took out my goggle but they fogged instantly
so I stuck to just my helmet cover which has a big brim, but that wasn't enough
note, no helmet in the video. camera was on helmet it was just easier to take the helmet off for the short video clip
I've since removed the foam inserts in my goggles so they don't fog anymore

this is my go-to storm headwear now

but depending on conditions I have other options, if the weather isn't extreme

A scuba diving trick I learned was to spit inside your goggles/face mask and swirl that around to prevent fogging. Unfortunately you can’t rinse the goggles like you can the face mask but at least you won’t be so fogged up as to render the goggles useless. I read that you removed the foam inserts which works too unless you forget your hooded cap.

In case anyone is having goggle fogging trouble, the skiing crowd I used to hang with swore that the best cure was Cat Crap™ (I've never tried it).

Don't know anything about the product, but was there a contest to come up with the least appealing brand name ever?

Is this joke going to get funnier the 21st time it's told on this thread?

It's especially funny as it's a word that's used a lot in advertising--"moist cakes" and the like. You could watch my nieces actually cringe when they heard someone on TV saying it.

I've tried Cat Crap on my glasses. It just blurred lenses and was of minimal help for fogging when coming indoors.

Rubbing a few drops of dish soap on the lenses will prevent fogging temporarily, but it does need to be re-applied.

I've got to ask because of the brand name--does it smell?
