I would think it will clean up reasonably well, what are the plans for tires and toe straps?

Geometry is a bit ahead of its time, I have seen other bikes from this period that are much more relaxed.
The immediate post war period in Italy is interesting as there appears to me bikes got a reevaluation of geometry compared to the designs just prior to WWII.
Yes. That is an odd rim. The rear does match, but the front is in "better" condition for the picture. Both have blown-out spoke holes, unrideable, but I will save them. I think they are original to the bike. The FB hubs, stamped Viscontea, have all the cones stamped 48.

As for the geometry, I'm not so sure. The image of the pursuit bike with the slammed stem is from 1935. Not all that relaxed.

Probably get some Binda straps.

Tires I'm on the fence. Maybe 23s if I give it the occasional road ride. 20s if I relegate it to the Northbrook velodrome.

That image shows quite a bit of fork rake, don't you think? The side view of your new mount presents a bit more laid back than it truly is as the rear tire is deflated, and if you reference your bike's fork rake in comparison, I think you will understand my comment.
Form reports I have received about Northbrook compared to when I rode it, 25's might be better. Has it been resurfaced?
I never liked that track by the way. Not bad for a pursuit, unless you wanted to catch your opponent and win that way. For Madison's or mass start races... Way too flat. In 1974 I really laughed, the Nationals were the selection races for the Worlds that year, and those Worlds were held in Montreal, on a temporary wood track with near 45 degree banking as the Olympic velodrome was not yet ready. For the sprinters it was a terrible venue to judge their capabilities.

Ive been wearing out our mailman since I had to order every single piece for my Merckx build. Then since I'm a 44 year old kid, I had to get the cap to match in the mail today. Waiting on my saddle so I can finally ride this thing...

Finally, a non-odor and near new vintage Brancale shoes. It takes me a bit to overcome the wheebie jebeez thoughts of wearing used athletic attire, but I'm OK with this pair.

Although, my phobia is coming around and now itchy for an early moth eaten wool jersey. But gawd, please NO old shorts!

Sturmey Archer clutch spring. Springs seem to get a lot less vigorous. Replaced & out for a ride on the 1955 Phillips.

^Me to.

Pat 72, for my 71 or 72 Le Champion. The postman was good to me today. I also got a Stronglight bottom bracket (from mparker326) for the same bike. And my first shipment from Craft Coffee.

@pastorbobnlnh graciously forwarded me a set of north roads handlebars to fit my '55 Phillips as well as a "Brittanialloy" frame pump that fits perfectly. Here's a link:

Still working out how to upload images to here from flickr.

Did you get them for a good price? Any others at that good price? I'm in the market but feeling cheap, I have spent way too much lately.

Full boat price. They were a late Xmas gift. WWC was out of them in December. I paid less for a tire on my car.

It should be easy. An image tag starts with the pseudo-word IMG inside square brackets, and ends with the the pseudo-word /IMG in square brackets. Between the starting and ending brackets is the URL of the image. Instead of using the buttons on the BF page, just enter this stuff yourself.

The URL you show posted would work except that it added the real URL to a pre-existing but mangled https:// suffix. So just edit your post, make sure your URL starts with https:// (or https:// - do secure http connections work for this? I don't really know), and put the IMG tags around it. 'Tis easy.

This is how it is done with flickr.

Choose the photo from your stream you wish to upload and click it.
Screen goes to the single photo with icons in lower right corner. Choose the arrow icon.
Dialogue screen pops up. Click BB Code.
You have a choice of size you wish to upload. Make your choice.
The bottom line should be highlighted. Place your cursor over it and right click to copy.
Go to your post in BF and paste
Done

I'll probably wind up doing the same, but more at the time of my birthday. Easier to "justify" the price. I have always wanted to try FMB.
