Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I will give it a yes as is and a yes at any budget with a pair of veloflex masters.

Okay.

I feel like I'm hating the hipster tires exactly the right amount.

Other than that, I like it.

I only run Veloflex on non-budget builds.

I think Clement (at least by name) was reborn not too long ago if someone is looking for budget gumwalls(?).

At about $40 per, its a crime not to use veloflex. They are about the best thing going in clinchers.

I have Veloflex Corsa on 2 other wheelsets and have used them for ~6 years now. Great tires, but not the best flat protection on my commutes. There'll be hell to pay if the SUV driving management at work finds out I'm 15 mins late to a meeting (or the cubefarm in general) due to a flat tire on my non fossil fuel burning commute.

I recently bought this frame on Ebay for $500. The wheels originally had red lettering on them, which I removed. Any other tips?

Thanks! I love it, but I was previously riding on a Nashbar frame so I'm not all that sure how it stacks up to other entry level frames. It's about 16lb even right now fwiw.

Hot. But agree, the steerer being cut would really change how that front end looks.
