Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Congrats on the new geared bike, welcome to the cloughb. FG/SS is fun but a geared bike has its perks sometimes.

Thanks! I plan on using the old components, i.e. wheels, levers/hoods, and brakes on some sort of SS/gravel type bike in the future. cause y'know n+1

My wallet and I aren't on speaking terms right now:

I am probably going to end up switching to a larger ring at the front but am looking to go with a lower gear range for an upcoming ride and this one was a bit cheaper than the larger geared cranks.

Front and Rear with the little colored logos in blue as well

There are still some Di2 bits to get like junction boxes and such but I will be getting to those rather soon, thanks to some unexpected cashola from Donald Trump Presents: The IRS. I wasn't expecting so much back on my tax returns and if that was the Donald's doing, then let's make him our Supreme Chancellor and let the money keep rollin' in!!! I kid, I kid, though he doesn't seem to be doing much more than tweeting, getting cozy with Russia and failing on all his promises so maybe this could be his saving grace in my eyes?

Yeah got one more thing for the new Road Machine (ok like 138 things if you count all the spokes and nips and the cool hat)

Just need to get the junction boxes. I will stop posting now...it is feeling silly buying it all in bits day by day. It's not like I am getting money each day (I mean I am earning it but don't get paid daily).

Maybe not so much as FOR my bike as it is a replacement for my bike, but grabbed the last one of these that Velomine had on clearance:

Excited to have something nicer than the conversions and entry level bikes I've been riding the last few years

Time to upgrade my beat up cheapo platform pedals on my nice bike and take advantage of their 20% off sale.

Also picked up some new blue brake and derailleur cables, as well as some step down housing caps for my beater. The derailleur cables will need changed soon, and I did a semi-ok job changing the brake cables last year, so I think I can do both better this time.

I heard it live in person and was like I gotta have it.

I also got some Swissstop pads for the eeBrakes which I should have ordered earlier but for some stupid reason I thought the brakes came with pads.

Bb upgrade

Just bought a Shimano UN55 sealed bb to replace my 30 year old cup and cone bb. Can't wait to have 2 of 3 bikes up and running again!

Booooo!!!! JK have fun with the build. I was thinking about holding out for a Bar End Junction but decided to go with the cheaper available option.

I'm getting some truss rods for my Rollfast project, must remove paint and see if the collar can be bent back on the one side or I get another one...but I have the rods.

My vintage daily usee Goodyear all-weather nylon 26 x 2.125" tires and good tubes should show up Tuesday.

I've got to price the paint job at the auto body shop this week.

Noice (which is a bad phrase because ice is good)
Any 3DV stuff in the lot. Doesn't matter even just the Paul and WI would be mega-neato and the other stuff is just icing on the icing on the cake made of icing!

I've never heard of 3DV before, will investigate.

EDIT: Ano purple, sadly no.
