I've seen it before, but can't recall...if you scroll up the post #146 you see a "strap" cable guide that Pinarello used a lot on slotted BB shells such as this, but for some reason a faint voice in the back of my mind is saying "Olmo" or "Atala". But should I or anybody listen to such voices?

Never seen that sort of combo of 6 round with 3 slightly oval holes in any BB shell before, but seems to have some stylish details! Is the threading ISO? How about some more pix?
And a general "stir-it-up" question: why drainholes in a track frame? Unless it's intended to get road/training use I'd think no need in a bike that will be used "indoors".

LLewellyn BB shell and unidentified bike bb shell
The frame has a 68mm bb shell and 137 x 24 tpi [English]
The headtube steerer has been cut very short for either a Japanese headset or a Campi record steel headset. I have a Campi SR one and the spacer means it wont fully fit.
The steerer tube doesnt have rifling.
I read that Italian framebuilders lowered weight in the BB shell but English framemakers rarely did it.

My McBain has Shimano track ends and fork tips, but no serial number. Your frame has a few McBain-esque features; open stay ends, double plate fork crown, drilled track ends, but confirming that will be almost impossible.

On the "speed holes" point I have a 17t duralumin 3/32 Zeus track cog that Gary Sutton gave me. He had thinned it to save weight.
The Llewellyn is number 282 from 2004.

We were debating on the BNA forums whether it was that Gary or a different Garry. (Apparently Gary Sutton was also known as Garry Sutton.)
Regarding your track frame, I don't know enough about Painos to say either way, but I would have expected to see a clover or 'P' cutout on a Paino. Having said that, I think Frank may have done those chamfered stay ends, so...

Looks like "Paino" it is or Wayne "Kotzur" [as no-one knows].
I'd love to use "De Rosa" or "Pogliaghi" but that would look wrong with Shimano track tips and ends.

drillium dude, just went to the garage and checked my 68 Masi Special with std. reach Campy
brakes the front pads are at the top of the slot. I've owned that bike for 46 yrs. and stared at it for hours
and never noticed that b4!

Rider since 74. New here.
The blue is a 1975 Raleigh Professional built at the Carlton Worksop Cycleworks - the cutouts are ‘CC’ for Carlton Cycles.

The orange one is a repainted 1988 Schwinn Premis. The hole is actually a screw hole to hold a plastic cable guide but it works as a drain hole now.
