Are you saying the bike is not hand built becouse they use jigs? Would you buy a handbuilt bike (or any bike) that was made without using a jig? I would not. I have all the corkscrews I need.

Steel, as a one off, is able to be built with a relatively simple set of production fixtures .

Main triangle, of regular DF bikes it's how carefully you do the Miters .

spent a couple days as the guest of a respected hand builder in Nottingham, on a Bike tour.
he did a lot of his work with wood blocks in the bench vise to hold the tubes
and half round hand files, to cut the miters..

Definitely a unique color combo. Perhaps the two bikes are from a rental fleet and hence the unique color combo?
