The Urban Dictionary states, “1. A genuinely awesome and persuasive person who is so attractive, smart and cool it is sometimes intimidating for other people. His eccentric and outgoing personality can often be misunderstood as being arrogant and just plain weird though those that truly know him are insanely attracted to him. 2. a person who spends a lot of money on his bike and clothing, but still can't ride, Poser. 3. A person who has a mishmash of old gear, doesn't care at all about technology or fashion, didn't race or follow racing, etc. Often identified by chain ring marks on white calf socks.

So obviously they dunno too.

(I really need to throw those white calf socks away.)

Well, the entire premise of this thread is irrational, so go with irrational numbers.

Not irrational if you take it in the vein that it was offered. Just plain fun.

BTW I agree with you, they only time a chain should be waxed is if it hairy.

So the OP of a thread posted for, "just plain fun," cannot see the humor in someone doing wordplay based on another poster's post. Interesting.

I put myself at about a 4.
I'm not sure what a "Fred" is, but I have zero interest in status, mine or others'.

I once was a bit of a snob. But as I got older (I'm 72 now) I've outgrown all the elitism and have gone back to being a 2 or so. I laugh at the hardcore as they blow me off the road knowing that I no longer need anyone to tell me what is cool and what isn't. I'm cool to (only) me.

I am just happy to see anyone out riding and enjoying the fresh air, so am probably a 2 on the Fred scale since I ain’t perfect. Most people get a wave except for those who are obviously taking themselves too seriously. Those are mostly youngsters in full kit hammering, or grumpy old men.

People still pass me when I'm on my e-bike. That's cool. I was never in a hurry.
