Current version my bike... had it around 2.5 years now, though the wheels and quarq are new (had been rolling a very old used PTap and a soul front wheel; now I'm back to using the souls day-to-day, and these new zipps that I got for a ridiculous price on ebay for special days). Basically built piece-by-piece off ebay and wiggle/PBK... remember when the UK was dirt cheap a few years ago?

Element 6 (basically a pedal force open-mold frame), 3 year old Red shifters, New 2012 quarq and FD, rest of the group is 3 year old Force. Thompson seat post, comfy saddle, ritchey stem/bars.

I've finally worked my functional flexibility to the point I have the stem rather slammed and am comfortable for at least 80 miles... need to cut that horrible extra steerer... but as long as the garmin is on it partially masks that issue.

New camera + new bike. Same as my other bike, which I love to death. The '12 version has a post instead of a mast, which is better for travel... The paint is obnoxious, but I really love the ride of these bikes. I still need a longer (and flat) stem.

Anyway, shot this in pitch black at 10:45pm, 15" exposure, painted with three manual flash pulses as I walked around holding a speedlight behind a diffusing disc.

...and my oldest son's new bike... I screwed up with a shadow from the diffusing disc I was holding

I dunno what's more sick, your bike or your camera.

The peloton needs more obnoxious paint jobs. Black on black on black has been done to death.

Thanks guys. The "new" camera is not showing its age (2007-2008) -- totally a believer in used photo gear now.

rkwaki, who's bringing the pink boa? < and mods can see deleted messages >

I reprocessed the SST photo (edited in place above) based on some advice from actual photographers (all done in Lightroom, no pixel editing)...

Yep. 90mm. I'm still relatively young and flexible enough, so why not?

You have a pretty slick Tsunami rig, don't you cdr?

Joe said the paint was done and decals/clear coat were going on last weekend, so I should get it pretty soon. I have all the other parts for the build, so this is the last major piece. I'll probably make another post/thread when I get it.

I was pretty sure I wouldn't have a problem. If you look where my light sources are, and knowing that reflectors just send light back to the source (rather than diffusing it for everyone to see), it should stay out of the camera lens.

The pink tape doesn't work for me on this bike but the wheels/tires sure do. I have come to love traditional box section wheels and tan sidewalks on modern bikes. It doesn't always work, but when it does

I like it- looks all business. Question for you guys that push the TT rings- what is your 'typical' cadence...say flat terrain threshold pace? Just curious.
